Avene Cold Cream Nourishing Lip Balm is tried & true.

I think I’m becoming an Avene super fan. All of the products I’ve purchased from them have been great. I would say I have more dry skin, so I’m always on the hunt for products that moisturize, but aren’t too sticky or oily. Their products seem to offer what I need.

I was looking for a new lip balm after my horrible La Mer lip balm experience, so this was a much better experience and a product I would recommend.

It’s in a simple twist-up tube with a pull off cap, so it’s easy to take on-the-go. The balm is nice and creamy and matte. It’s not too thick and not too thin – the perfect consistency. I feel like it absorbs into my lips really well to make them more smooth and plump.

I’ll probably stick to buying the Avene Cold Cream Nourishing Lip Balm as my purse lip balm moving forward. I really like it a lot and definitely recommend this to others to give it a shot!

Tried & True – Dior Addict Lip Maximizer

Dior Addict Lip Maximizer (paid link) is tried & true.

One of my sisters bought this for me for Christmas and so far it’s good.
It’s definitely on the thicker, stickier side and will make your lips tingle.
I don’t like wearing it all the time, so I really only use it here and there. I wouldn’t recommend this if you are looking for an everyday moisture kind of product. It’s also not the best product for days when it is windy and your hair will just stick to it.
Since the gloss is a thicker consistency, it does have good staying power.

Tried & True – Moroccanoil Treatment

Moroccanoil Treatment (paid link) is tried & true.

I received a free sample of this oil along with a purchase I made at Sephora and fell in love. I mainly use it after I shower and while my hair is still a little damp. The oil smells so good and it makes my hair softer and smoother. You only need a few drops and the sample size alone has lasted me quite awhile.

If you have flyaway hairs or just want overall smoother, softer hair, I recommend you try out the Morocconoil Treatment.

Tried & True – Bond No. 9 New York Nights

Bond No. 9 New York Nights (paid link) is tried & true.

I’ve already confessed my love for Bond No. 9 Spring Fling and New York Nights is another one of my favorite scents of all time.

I don’t really know how to describe the scent – not my expertise, but it is soo good.

It’s super strong, so a little goes a long way and will last all day.
I’ve only purchased mine in-person at Saks Fifth Avenue, but the link I provided above is a little cheaper from Amazon.

Tried & True – Laneige Lip Glowy Balm

Laneige Lip Glowy Balm (paid link) is tried & true.

I’ve mainly stuck with the translucent Pear flavor, but have tried a couple of the others as well.
The balm is a cross between a balm and a gloss and has a really nice consistency.
It’s not too sticky and not too heavy, but it does give a good shiny gloss.
Aside from if you’re eating, this balm lasts a long time and the squeeze tube style makes it easy to throw in your purse and carry it with you.

This has been one of my go-to’s for awhile now. I’ve tried many others along the way, but always come back to this and the Lip Sleeping Mask.

Tried & True – Boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer

Boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer (paid link) is tried & true.

My oldest sister gifted a travel size version of this moisturizer to me as a little stocking stuffer last Christmas. She swore her and her husband loved this moisturizer so she wanted me to try it out too.

I’ll admit, at first I was a little weirded out by the jelly like texture and thought it would be sticky like it looked.

After a single use, I was won over by this moisturizer. It’s super watery, so a little goes a long way. The application is very smooth and your skin will drink it right up. This left my face and neck feeling so soft and supple. I like that it’s on the lighter side which makes it a great summer moisturizer.

If you’re on the hunt for a good light moisturizer for the summer, try out Boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer.

Tried & True – OSEA Plant-Based Body Brush

OSEA Plant-Based Body Brush is tried & true.

One of my sisters bought this for me for Christmas at my request.
I read a little about dry brushing and wanted to give it a shot. According to what I read, with skin dry before you shower, you’re supposed to start at your feet and move up your body gently with circular, clockwise movements. Go real light on areas like your chest where skin is more sensitive. Do your arms last, and brush upwards towards your armpits. Don’t take a super hot shower afterwards…just use lukewarm or cool water.

I dry brush no more than once a week. It definitely helps with exfoliation, but I feel like any more than once a week is too harsh on my skin. I always make sure to moisturize really well after dry brushing, because it does seem to dry my skin out more.

Since I have seen a noticeable improvement, I can say I recommend dry brushing to others. I haven’t tried a wide assortment of dry brushes, so I can only recommend the one I have tried from OSEA.
Just remember to be gentle!
